I hope this doesn’t come off as really cliche, but here it is January, and it seems like a good time to talk about starting over. You know, sometimes things in life just don’t work out the way you expect them to or think they should. Realizing this has happened is an opportunity to improve your life by changing what isn’t working. Sometimes this means physically cleaning the house, changing your mindset, or just looking for other options. Change doesn’t have to be frightening, sudden, or bad. Something that is changing in my neck of the woods is Senater Tom Coburn stepping down early as he deal with cancer, which means that the first election I will vote in will be for his replacement. I was excited when I heard that James Lankford is going to run for the spot, and as of yet seems to be the only person who has officially filed to run. I have been a fan of Lankford since his began his run for the House of Reps. You can slap a stereotype on me if you like because of my mid-southern traditional values and conservative beliefs, but I am all for the reforms and decisions Lankford has brought up in his time in the House, and hope that he will be able to continue fighting for an educated and Biblical interpretation of how the American government is meant to work.
